eBay (E-Commerce and Motoring Industries)
  • Championed the dynamic cloud initiatives, including self-service onboarding, auto-scaling, and generative AI/LLMs. This led to enhanced operational efficiency and agility.
  • Led also the migration of Ceph's block storage and CephFS file system to eBay's internal Software Defined Storage platform, ensuring seamless transition of key customer use cases such as AI algorithm training, Backup & Restore, eBay Logging, Kafka, and Postgres DBs.
  • In addition, led the Secure Immutable Storage Backup solution for the Payment use case. This solution, encompassing both Regulatory Compliance and efficient Payments Data Recovery, leverages Software Defined Storage block storage deployed within the secure RNPCI zone.
  • Spearheaded also the successful release of the Video On Demand (VOD) component of the eBay Live Streaming, a groundbreaking platform expected to generate $200M GMV.
  • Finally, led the retirement of all Legacy Media Services. This momentous accomplishment yielded wide-ranging benefits, particularly in improved security and reduced legacy code maintenance costs. This multi-year effort stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment and dedication.


Autodesk (Media, Building and Manufacturing Industries)
  • Led the Architecture, design and implementation of many key components/features for the Autodesk Seek (web service that enables designers to discover, preview, and download BIM models, drawings, and specifications), Viewing Service, Translation Service and Translation workers; Seek Part Atom Crawling, Processing and Indexing, Viewing Service REST API finalization, the integration between Viewing Service and Translation Service, the Bubble merging strategy, the Status/progress workflows, the Translation Worker OSS/FSB integration, etc…
  • Led the Viewing Service PaaS initiative, from architecture to design and implementation. The Services/applications highlighted in this initiative are: Viewing Service, Translation Service, Translation Workers, Apigee/PingFederate/OAuth2.0 (integration). Also, closely working with the business and technical partners driving this requirement for all the Cloud Platform services.
  • Finally, drove to success the full architecture, design and implementation of the Pilot Application that enabled some of our selected Autodesk partners to sync up and translate (generating viewable) their 3D and 2D data automatically to the cloud store (in Nitrogen), and have this 3D and 3D data shown in a viewer integrated part of their web application. This pilot application was also demoed at AU (Autodesk University).


Pocket This (Mobile Industry)
  • Led the Architecture, design and implementation of key components for business critical applications, including the Yellow Pages SMS Listing search, and the Home Shopping Network (hsn.com) mobile application.
  • Projects were implemented using enterprise standard technologies: Java/J2EE, Spring 1.3, JMS, XML, HTML, SQL, JavaScript, and Ant script, JBoss 4.0.x, MySQL 4.0.x, SQL Server 2000, Hibernate 3, xDoclet 1.2.3, WebServices client/WSDL, Axis 1.3, OpenCMS 6.0.
  • Also led the architecture, design, and development of the Ad Network framework: a central place for ads aggregation.
  • Led the architecture, design, and development of the LBS (Location Based Services) framework. This framework was crucial in reducing integration time with LBS providers.
  • Led the integration effort with the OpenCMS product, the open source content management system.
  • Designed and developed the Mobile Messages Sending Services framework using the Service Oriented Architecture. This framework uses JMX to fetch the layout from a content management system.
  • Mentored a team of developers through successful product development phases for business critical applications.
  • Defined the development/deployment process used by the company. Also, achieved a significant increase in product reliability by promoting a team effort to use the defined processes and Standards.
  • Led the design and implementation of the imaging module that dynamically transforms an image to fit any mobile phone screen.
  • Led the design and implementation of the internationalization module that handles custom character encoding for mobile phones. The character encoding definition can be modified, at runtime, from OpenCMS (the content management system).


Mellon Financial (Financial, Banking and Trading Industries)
  • Led the architecture, design, and development of high-performance financial, investment, and human resource related applications.
  • Led the development of the Real-Time Trading middle-tier application handling more than 10,000 trades per minute. Those trades were received by an employee stock purchase system and were submitted in real-time to the NASDAQ/NYSE markets.
  • Designed and developed the Dreyfus mutual funds web application critical enhancements; enabling more than 100,000 users to view funds information, historical prices and distributions, access a customizable user profile section, and access user account information.
  • Led the revamping of the Salary Management System client server application to the web. Service-Oriented architecture has been used to achieve this goal.
  • Projects were implemented using enterprise standard technologies: Java/J2EE, Struts, XML, XSLT, FOP, HTML, SQL, MQ, JavaScript, FIXML protocol, and Ant script, WebSphere 5.1/4.0.x, Tomcat 4.1.x, SQL Server 2000, JBoss 3.2.x, and Oracle 9i/8i.

Harley-Davidson (Motoring Industry)
  • Led the architecture, design, and development of the Harley-Davidson supply chain project. The project goal was to link Harley- Davidson with their suppliers.


Manugistics (Supply Chain Management Industry)
  • Led the architecture, analysis, and design for ExchangeWORKS security, an application developed by Manugistics for trading exchanges.
  • Led the architecture, design, and development of the CISCO eHub supply chain project serving all CISCO high management, suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
